Consoar Environmental Monitoring

While substantial efforts have been spent on landfill gas emission control and odor abatement, there is still a critical need for an environmental monitoring and reporting system that can augment the current system while addressing three major issues.

  • First, landfill gas and odor data is presently collected monthly by an Inspector walking during daylight hours in accessible areas around the landfill.
  • Second, there can be a delay from the time an odor complaint is received until an Inspector can go out to the landfill to validate the complaint.
  • Third, because federal standards only require the collection and reporting of data for methane emission on a monthly/quarterly basis, many leaks go undetected for a long time, resulting in delayed repairing of the leaks and methane escaping into the environment.

Leadership Team

The Leadership team at HATS has been carefully assembled based on their unique perspectives on both research and implementation when creating unique human automation teaming solutions for Environmental Monitoring.
