Karan Panesar is a computer engineer at HATS responsible for bridging the gap between computer science and electrical engineering. He deals with the hardware and software aspects of computer system design and development. Currently, he is completing a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and a minor in art at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he is also leading a senior design team developing a machine-learning-capable quadrotor that can autonomously scout a target building for entry points (e.g., doors) and a custom ground control station software that allows for command and control of both virtual and live vehicles. He is also an active member of the CSUN VEX robotics team as the head programmer and the webmaster. Karan spends his free time learning about graphic design and web design.
